Do you have a new puppy or are you thinking about adding a new member to your family? This is the class for you. We will cover house training, crate training, and name recognition. Socialization exercises, and what that really means in the important first 4 months of a dog’s life, will also be addressed. There will be time to answer your questions about how to handle specific behavior issues. Supervised play time will be allowed if deemed appropriate by the trainer. Introduction of training sit, down and loose leash walking will also be taught.

In this class we will focus on the development of appropriate leash manners. From paying attention to you while out for a quiet walk or making your way through town on a busy sidewalk. We will look at several different methods to accomplish this goal without using aversive equipment. We will also explore different ways to obtain that total recall even while at the dog park. This is a great class for any age of dog.

Do you have a noisy pup while you are out walking? Leash reactivity? Did you just adopt a dog from a rescue organization and you are seeing issues arise that you never expected? You are not alone! We will work to alleviate some of the stress from your life by helping you to understand and identify what the dog feels and why. By working slowly and deliberately we will strive to overcome the issues. This class will be limited to six dogs.
