Yoga For Everybody - 161331

YOGA FOR EVERY BODY
These classes will be taught in the vinyasa style: part of the hatha yoga tradition. The practice is based on how the student feels that day, focusing on the present moment, believing yoga is a process and a journey, not a destination. Students will move from standing poses to mat work on the floor so ability to flow from feet to the floor and back is required. Safety awareness and use of healthful options are paramount. Judith Bardsley, Yogafit instructor.

Mindful Aging - 161332

Mindfulness challenges us to pay attention, on purpose, in the present moment and without judgement. This contemplative practice has its roots in several of the world’s major belief systems (Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism and Christianity), but you don’t have to subscribe to any religion of philosophy to reap its benefits.
As the demographics of an aging society come into clearer focus, we must develop a compelling vision of later life, one that does NOT assume a trajectory of decline after fifty but recognizes this as a time of potential change, growth and new learning. With the urgency that accompanies our recognition that our time is indeed limited, Mindful Aging asks that we live with more intention.
Have you been feeling that some mental decluttering might be just what the doctor ordered? If so, you are not alone. Are you ready to consider some new strategies for creating more peace, health, contribution and meaning in your life? If so, this class is for you! Facilitated by Sue Barrington. This class meets weekly for 75 minutes for eight weeks.
